The first UKLPG conference and exhibition was held in Warwick in the UK at the end of April and attracted around 80 delegates from leading LPG distributors, equipment, tank and autogas manufacturers. The theme of the conference “Talking Energy” explored the main challenges and opportunities facing the industry. Rob Shuttleworth, Chief Executive of UKLPG and former Director General of the UK’s LPGA outlined the aims of the UKLPG over the coming year. Raising the industry’s public profile will be critical. ‘We have a good quality product with low carbon emissions. We need to communicate with government decision makers to get the message across about the benefits of LPG,’ said Rob Shuttleworth.
